Carrier Travel Assistance Programs

Most of your clients’ employees are currently sheltering-in-place. But some employees may still be traveling for work under the “essential business” or “essential service” provisions of the current shelter-in-place orders. To help these clients, advise them about carrier travel assistance programs that may be available, either through their existing lines of coverage or through additional lines of coverage they may want to consider.

Carrier Travel Assistance Programs typically provide emergency assistance to members while traveling and can include:

• Physician Dispatch
• Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation
• Critical Care Monitoring
• Legal Consultations
• Emergency Cash

Carrier Travel Assistance Programs

Allied Benefit Suite’s Personal Protection Plan includes Global Emergency Assistance. Even when employees are away, they can have an extra layer of protection. When enrollees are traveling more than 100 miles away from home or in another country, this feature provides services from Assist America that include medical consultation, emergency medical evacuation, medical repatriation, prescription assistance, and more.

Eligibility

Available as a group product (2-99 eligible employees) with either a new or existing Delta Dental plan.

Allied Benefit Suite Personal Protection Plan Product Sheet and Brochure

Employees and dependents have access to the Travel Assistance Program provided by AXA as part of their Life Insurance Plan with Blue Shield of California. This program offers a broad range of worldwide travel and medical assistance services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With one simple phone call to AXA’s response center, members will be connected to a global network of providers to assist them when away from home.

Eligibility

Available as a group product (2-100 eligible employees) with employer-paid Basic Life coverage – included as a value-add feature.

Blue Shield of California/AXA Brochure

Included with MetLife insurance coverage is access to Travel Assistance services (administered by AXA Assistance USA, Inc.). A unique program where employees and covered family members can contact AXA representatives to administer emergency medical, travel, and personal assistance services on the member’s behalf wherever they are in the world.

Eligibility

• Available as a group product (10+ eligible employees) with employer-paid Basic Life coverage. Must request this feature at the time of marketing.
• Available with Supplemental/Voluntary Life, 10+ group size included as a value-add feature (employee buy-up coverage).

MetLife Travel Assistance Brochure

Employees, spouses, and children have access to travel, medical, legal and financial assistance, plus emergency medical evacuation benefits provided by AXA Assistance when traveling domestically or internationally more than 100 miles from home for up to 120 consecutive days.

Eligibility

• Available as a group product (5+ eligible employees) with employer-paid Basic Life.
• Available with Supplemental/Voluntary Life, 10+ group size (employee buy-up coverage).

Principal Travel Assistance Brochure

When traveling more than 100 miles from home or in a foreign country, Travel Assistance Services provided by On Call International offers employees and dependents pre-trip assistance, emergency medical transportation, emergency personal assistance, and medical assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Eligibility

Available as a group product (10+ eligible employees). Included in employer-paid Basic Life coverage and with Long-Term Disability coverage.

Reliance Standard Travel Assistance Brochure

When traveling, the UnitedHealthcare Global Assistance Program provides employees and dependents medical and travel assistance services worldwide, 24-hours a day. It includes medical assistance, travel assistance, and worldwide destination intelligence.

Eligibility

• Available as a group product (2-99 eligible employees) with employer-paid Basic Life coverage. Included as a value-add feature.
• Available with Supplemental/Voluntary Life, 10+ group size (employee buy-up coverage).
