Cigna + Oscar Withdraws from
The Small Group Market

New Cigna + Oscar (C+O) small group sales and renewals will not be offered in 2025. At C+O’s request, all plans and rates have been removed from the quote engine. Blue Shield – Earn Up to $100 Per Enrolled Member (New and Renewing Business)

With Blue Shield’s new broker Medical Incentive Program, you can earn up to $100 per enrolled member in both new and renewing business:

$100 for each member who enrolls in a Trio HMO or Tandem PPO plan as part of the initial sale or during renewal.
$50 per enrolled medical member in all plans, excluding Trio and Tandem plans.
$25 per enrolled member when using the employer enrollment tool.

The bonuses apply to groups with September 2020 through January 2021 effective or renewal dates.

How The Bonus is Calculated

New business (excluding plans through Covered California for Small Business).
The bonus is $100 for each Trio or Tandem medical member, otherwise, it is $50 per medical member.
Business that renews during the bonus period.
The bonus is paid on newly enrolled medical members as of January 31, 2021, as follows:
- If a member in a group that renews from September 2020 through January 2021 is newly enrolled in a Trio or Tandem plan sold directly by Blue Shield, the bonus is $100 for that member.
- If a member in a group that renews from September 2020 through January 2021 is newly enrolled in any other small group medical plan sold directly by Blue Shield, the bonus is $50 for that member.
